Competitions

Our club proudly competes and participates across a range of programs designed for different ages and skill levels. The Capital Volleyball League (CVL) is the ACT’s premier competition, bringing together the region’s top athletes in a high-performance, representative pathway for both men and women. The Open League (OL) offers structured weekly competition in a competitive yet inclusive environment, perfect for players looking to develop their skills and enjoy consistent match play. For our youngest athletes, Spikezone is an exciting entry-level program focused on fun, fundamental skills, and building confidence in a supportive setting. Together, these programs create a clear pathway from learning the basics to competing at the highest local level.

Capital Volleyball League (CVL)

At the elite level, Belconnen Volleyball Club enters Men's and Women's teams in the Capital Volleyball League competition run by Volleyball ACT. This is the highest level of competition in Canberra, and offers a competitive and challenging season for players.

Spike Zone

The ‘Spikezone’ program is a nation-wide initiative designed to get primary school-aged kids involved in volleyball. Using modified rules, a lower net, and softer balls, Spikezone is an ideal introduction to the exciting world of volleyball!

Spikezone runs through each school term. Participants will be taught basic volleyball skills by our experienced coaches, and learn to play modified games.

Please contact Volleyball ACT at [email protected] or (02) 6100 6418 for further information on Spikezone.
